| Welcome
to Greg's professional page.
Coming into the 2007-2008 academic year, I accepted a full-time lecturer position in the Department of Educational Psychology and Instructional Technology at the University of Georgia's College of Education. I completed my Ph.D. in Instructional Technology at UGA in the spring of 2007.
Prior to the lecturer position, I served as the Instructional Multimedia Project Manager at the University of Georgia's Center for Teaching and Learning.

I conducted my dissertation research on the role of creativity
in instructional design and development. I give an overview
of this topic in the online presentation The
Role of Creativity in Instructional Design and Development.
It's a fascinating area!
One of
the most innovative things I've seen happening in the UGA Instructional Technology program
is the masters-level series of courses that are together
called
"The
IT@UGA Studio". This learning environment became
the chosen setting for my dissertation study. Several course sections
meet together in
a constructivist learning environment that culminates, over
the course of a few semesters, in major team-based projects
that serve external clients. I am happy to be teaching in the Studio now.
